Since the start of this exciting yet dangerous sport, many women skateboarders have shocked the fanatics as they have raised the roof of competition.

Lizzie Armanto

Lizzie grew up in Santa Monica and started to work on her dream when she was 14. She started hitting the skate park as she doesn’t want his brother to be better than her.

She has been phenomenal since she placed first overall in the World Cup of skateboarding points race. With over 30 skateboarding awards Lizzie has outperformed all other competitors in skateboarding.

Patti McGee

Another skateboarding legend is Patti who won 1965 woman’s first national skateboard champion in Santa Monica. Patti McGee’s first skateboard was built by her brother in the wood shop from her own shoe skate. This girl is rewarded as the fastest girl on the skateboard with 47mph during Dick Clark’s World Teen Fair 1964. For a long time, no one saw any other girl alike Patti McGee.

Cara-Beth Burnside

Also goes by the nickname of “CB”, Cara-Beth Burnside was a professional snowboarder and skateboarder from Orange, California. Ranked amongst the top female athletes, CB was also the first president of the Action Sports Alliance. Burnside had won more than 16 titles and was called Female Vert Skater of the Year by World cup skating in 2004.

Elissa Steamer

Known by the masses, Elissa started her skateboarding career when she was just 14. At the age of 20, she was a professional skateboarder and was sponsored by the Ed Templeton’s brand Toy Machine. X Games announced women’s street even in 2004, Elissa took the gold in the first year and again in 2005, 2006 and 2008. She has been an inspiration for many girls around the globe.

Vanessa Torres

Vanessa was the inspiration for all Mexicans girls who wanted to be a beloved skateboarding professional. She was the first female skateboarders who won the gold medal at the X games and it leads her to Tony Hawk video game series. Remarkable, isn’t it?

Leticia Bufoni

Leticia is a Brazilian-American skateboarder who came to try out her luck at SoCal for the X Games when she was just 14. During the trip she was trying an inward heel flip, her dad said that if she accomplished it he’ll allow to stay her in California. She got ranked #1 in Women’s Street Skateboard by world cup stake four years in a row making her one of a class.
