Ray Barbee: The Reason You Suck At No Comply’s

Posted by Anthony on February 17th, 2012 — Posted in Hateboarding

No Comply’s have been off limits for nearly 30 years. They’re appropriate in certain situations where it’s creative and utilizes a spot in an interesting way. If it’s not used in a creative fashion to showcase a different way to approach a spot then it’s used to look really cool to set up for your banger trick coming up next in the line. 180 no comply to fakie bigspin flip down a gap is fucking rad. 180 no comply slides all day, not as cool. If you think I’m just hating that’s cool but also take the time to check out this video, in which the first trick discussed is a fakie 180 no comply slide first done by Natas Kaupas. Go look him up. Just trying to get you kids to understand the history behind the art that you are participating in.
