Brian Peck Takes Pennsyltucky 2!!!

From my perspective it was up and down. We had it all going on from the threat of bad weather, to some drama (you may have missed that), to utter silliness. The weekend started with Fifi fanning smoke while Wayne was cutting the car tire sole from Fifi’s shoe. My entire house stunk like a burning rubber factory. The next day saw the rain come in. Nothing horrible just enough to be a pain and spoil the freeriding fun. That led to a “rain wheel” manufacturing plant manifesting itself in my garage. Saturday evening we had the BBQ which was manned by Wayne, our chef. The influx of people in a short period of time was amazing………it was near biblical. Moses had nothing on Pennsyltucky!!!

Saturday night the skys cleared and paved the way for the slide jam style fest. In my humble opinion I thought this was the most fun of the entire weekend. I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The riding was off the hook with Pat and Jeremy just annihilating everything in their path…….not to be outdone by the young buck. Jeremy walked away with the win that night but 11 year old Evan Baker (Mr. Joe’s son) stepped up and surprised everyone with a second place finish.

Sunday morning arrived and I think everyone was moving a bit slow due to the late night antics the night before. Willy hooked us all up with donuts and Rob McK got the coffee flowing and life started to bubble up again. We had the cleaning crew hit the hill early to remove the debris left by the prior days storms and the scene was set. Everyone arrived at the hill and the practice runs ensued. It became apparent quite early that the level of competition was going to keep things tight. The race ran great and from what I’m told the runs were awesome (I can’t honestly give much opinion on it as I was at the top of the hill all day).

I was stoked to be able to award prizes 18 places deep. I think the prize package was the best we’d seen all season and I was proud to have worked my ass off to make this happen. My sponsors are the best!!! These people flow us and support us so hard and there just aren’t enough thank you’s to express my appreciation.

Other thanks go out to Ray for engineering the safety crew and keeping everything running smoothly, all of the corner guards and flag holders, Corey for driving us back up the hill, and last but not least all of you guys who came to ride and made this weekend an awesome event. We also need to thank the neighbors who are always so cool.

See youall in the spring!!!! Pennsyltucky III Mudder Fukkers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
